-: HERBARIUM:-

Earth पर लगभग 4.5 lakh plants पाए जाते हैं जो world के different regions में grow करते हैं यह herb, Shrub तथा different areds में पाए जाते हैं | इसलिए इन plant की study एक season में करना impossible हैं |

      अत: study purpose academic interest Scientific knowledge तथा research purpose के लिए इन plants को collect किया जाता हैं और इसके लिए herbarium की preparation की जाती हैं |

  Defination of Herbarium -

" The dried and Pressed collection of plant is called as Herbarium "

              "Herbarium की process एक complex process हैं अत: इस purpose के लिए different requirement की आवश्यकता होती हैं और The place where Herbarium are kept is called Herbarium .

Requirement for the herbarium -

Herbarium बनाने के लिए following apparatus की आवश्यकता होती हैं |

1. Trowel - 

Herbarium Preparation के लिए Trowel एक important requirement हैं इसका use Small Plant को root सहित separate करने में किया जाता हैं जो plant Identification में helpful होते हैं |

    Plant के underground as - Tuber, Rhizome, corn, इत्यादि को भी Trowel द्वारा soil से अलग करते हैं |

2. Secateur -

यह एक Small apparatus हैं जिसका use Shrub तथा Tree Plant के collection में करते हैं |

  Secateur की help से Flower Twig को plant से separate किया जाता हैं |

3. Vasculum -

यह एक Small Box होता हैं जो plant के collection में use होता हैं | Vasculum Leather अथवा tin का बना होता हैं इसके दोनों सिरे spherical shaped होते हैं | इस Bag की upper Surface white point के द्वारा cot की जाती हैं | जो Sunlight को reflect करता हैं | जो Plant को Dry होने से बचाती हैं |
